Sister Isaac Koenig, a sister of the Society of Saint Ursula, founded the Sister Isaac Center in 1985. For almost 40 years, the Center has served almost 6,000 people per year with financial assistance, food, clothing, hygiene products, household items, children's items and Christmas and Thanksgiving baskets. Today, the Sister Isaac Center has 150 volunteers who are actively involved in serving the poor by handing out food or cleaning and folding donated clothes.
Sister Isaac retired in December of 2016 and returned to Rhinebeck, N.Y.
